Traffic Control in Nashville, TN

Lane closures, flagging, MOT and traffic control plans for contractors, utilities and event organizers across Nashville, Goodlettsville and the rest of Davidson County.

Nashville traffic control

Built for Nashville’s busiest streets.

Nashville work zones are tight: heavy traffic, sidewalks full of people, bike lanes and intersections every block. We’ve run closures on Broadway in Midtown and downtown, Gallatin Ave in East Nashville and Gallatin Pike in Madison, so we know what it takes to keep a job moving without backing up the city.

  • Utility tie-ins and excavation in the right-of-way
  • Commercial site work and new construction
  • Sidewalk and bike lane closures
  • Night closures on high-traffic corridors
  • Goodlettsville, Madison, Antioch and the rest of Davidson County

Permits & roads

Metro right-of-way permits, covered.

Metro Nashville NDOT requires a permit for any closure of the public right-of-way, and a traffic control plan with every permit submittal, even when no lane is closed. Plans must also account for pedestrians and cyclists wherever a sidewalk, crosswalk or bike lane is affected.

NDOT publishes MUTCD-based typicals, but they don’t fit every site. Our traffic control plans are drawn to your actual location, so your ePermits submittal matches what we set up on site. Closures of seven days or more also go before Metro’s Multimodal Access Closure review, so plan ahead for longer jobs.

Roads we’re ready for

  • Broadway, West End and Charlotte Ave
  • Gallatin Pike and Gallatin Ave
  • Nolensville Pike and Murfreesboro Pike
  • Downtown, Midtown and the Gulch
  • Dickerson Pike and Long Hollow Pike in Goodlettsville
  • Interstate frontage and ramps near I-40, I-65 and I-24

Recent Davidson County work includes the water line tie-in and dumpster enclosure at Raising Cane’s on Broadway, the storm box repairs at Whataburger on Gallatin Ave, and the sewer tie-in at In-N-Out on Gallatin Pike in Madison.
